Our Motorsports will be shuttering its NASCAR Xfinity Series program following this weekend’s BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway, the team officially confirmed on Friday.
The organization, which has fielded at least one full-time entry in NASCAR’s second-tier division since 2020, will bring the No. 5 Chevrolet to the racetrack one final time this weekend at the one-mile concrete oval, with Kaz Grala behind the wheel.
“Our Motorsports will cease operations in NASCAR racing moving forward. Thank you to NASCAR, Chevrolet, the fans, employees, and drivers, for a good ride over the last six years,” a statement from the organization reads.
In 278 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Our Motorsports has recorded nine finishes inside the top-five, the best of which was a second-place finish at Daytona International Speedway in 2001, and 41 top-10 results.
Throughout the team’s half-decade tenure, Brett Moffitt has been the driver who has started the most races for Our Motorsports, driving the No. 02 Chevrolet in a total of 80 races. Other drivers throughout the team’s history include Jeb Burton, Anthony Alfredo, Blaine Perkins, Kyle Weatherman, and Kris Wright.
This move comes just three days after Wright confirmed to TobyChristie.com’s Joseph Srigley that he would no longer be competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Our Motorsports, with immediate effect.
“Our Motorsports and Kris Wright have officially parted ways following the Sonoma race on July 15, 2025,” a team statement reads. “Our Motorsports will complete its season on Saturday in Dover, Del., with Kaz Grala behind the wheel of the No. 5 Ferguson Chevrolet.”
Wright had contested the opening 19 NASCAR Xfinity Series events of the 2025 season, collecting a season-best (and career-best) ninth-place result at Martinsville Speedway. The No. 5 entry for the organization enters Dover sitting 36th in Owner Points, only ahead of two full-time entries belonging to Joey Gase Motorsports.
Kaz Grala will be making his second NASCAR Xfinity Series start of 2025, and the 79th of his career, in this weekend’s event. The Boston, Massachusetts-native has made four starts in the second-tier series at Dover, recording a best finish of 12th for Sam Hunt Racing in 2023.

This is sad for everyone involved at Our Motorsports, but signing Kris Wright instead of sticking with Anthony Alfredo was always a poison pill.
Forget the rumors that Wright/Wright’s sponsor hasn’t fully paid Our Motorsports for the races he ran, him constantly tearing up cars or finishing outside the top 20 cost the team more than any deficiency in money Alfredo would’ve brought.
