Our Motorsports Alleges That Matt Mills Intentionally Wrecked Patrick Emerling at Bristol

The FS1 broadcast did not have a very good angle of the lap 140 crash that ended the NASCAR Xfinity Series debut of Our Motorsports’ Patrick Emerling in Monday night’s Cheddar’s 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Broadcasters Kurt and Kyle Busch and Adam Alexander speculated that Emerling was sent around by a fellow competitor, but they couldn’t quite tell who it was (they named Bayley Currey).

However, if you squint your eyes just right, you’ll see that the No. 5 BJ McLeod Motorsports car driven by Matt Mills is in the vicinity.

According to Our Motorsports, Mills was more than in the vicinity. They claimed — via Twitter — that it was indeed Miller wrecked their No. 02 car on purpose.

Here is the Tweet that the team fired off moments after the crash:

Following this Tweet, Ronnie Osmer — an ARCA Menards Series driver for Our Motorsports — was a bit more descriptive about the incident, which revealed that it was Mills that initiated the contact.

This could be an interesting feud to keep an eye on in the Xfinity Series over the upcoming races.

Our Motorsports, who are running their first campaign in the NXS, had averaged a finish of 14.8 through six races before Monday’s race.
