CONCORD, N.C. — Mother Nature has not allowed one lap of full-speed on-track action so far this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NASCAR National Series. That trend continued with the cancellation of NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series qualifying on Saturday morning.

With qualifying washed out, the starting lineup for the Charbroil 300 was set by way of the NASCAR Rule Book. While it won’t be in the record books as an official pole position, Justin Allgaier will start from the pole position in Saturday’s race, which is currently scheduled for 5 PM ET. Corey Day, who will start from the pole in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event and won last week’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Dover Motor Speedway, will start alongside Allgaier on the front row.

Sam Mayer, Brandon Jones, and Connor Zilisch will round out the top-five starters for the Charbroil 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Official Starting Lineup: NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Charbroil 300

While rain has already forced the cancellation of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice and qualifying, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series qualifying, and a double-postponement of the NASCAR Truck Series race, NASCAR remains hopeful that an abbreviated NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series practice session will take place on Saturday.

Currently, rain has slowed at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and track drying equipment is circling the facility trying to provide a clean and dry racing surface for competitors to get their cars tuned up for the Charbroil 300 at Charlotte.
