NASCAR team rosters confirm that JA Avila will take over behind the wheel of the Our Motorsports No. 02 Chevrolet Camaro in Sunday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Contender Boats 250 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Avila, who has six-career starts in Xfinity Series competition, will be making his 2020 debut.

His best finish was an 18th-place effort at Kansas Speedway in 2018 driving for BJ McLeod Motorsports.

The 25-year old driver takes over for the team, which is averaging a finish of 18.6, nine races into their tenure in the Series.

Due to the driver change from Brett Moffitt in Saturday’s race, Avila will have to start from the rear of the field as Saturday’s race results were used to determine the starting lineup for Sunday’s event.

Our Motorsports sits 16th in the Xfinity Series owner championship standings after Saturday’s Hooters 250 at Homestead.
