Ryan Truex made all of the right moves, as he took the win in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway. Truex, who led the race on six occasions for 28 laps, led the final eight laps of the race, which ended under caution in an overtime finish.

Following the race, Truex’s race-winning No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra took a trip to the post-race inspection bay, as is customary for race winners in the NASCAR National Series. Following inspection, Truex’s car was given a passing grade, which led NASCAR to declare the driver and his team the official winners of the race.

This is officially Truex’s second win of the 2024 season, the other coming at Dover Motor Speedway in April, and it’s the third NASCAR Xfinity Series win of his career.

No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings are now considered official.

The Joe Gibbs Racing No. 81 car, JR Motorsports No. 7, Richard Childress Racing No. 2, and Stewart-Haas Racing No. 98 cars will all go back to NASCAR R&D for further inspection.
