Austin Hill had just enough fuel in the tank to score the win in Saturday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series RAPTOR King of Tough 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Following the customary post-race inspection, Austin Hill’s No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro made it through tech with no issues.

As a result, NASCAR has declared Hill and his team the official winners of Saturday’s race. This marks the second win in a row for Hill to start the season, which makes him just the fourth driver in the history of the NASCAR Xfinity Series to win the first two events on the schedule.

Hill, a native of Winston, GA, is now an eight-time winner in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition.

The No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing car was found to have one unsecured lug nut, which will result in a fine for the team’s crew chief.

No other issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following the RAPTOR King of Tough 250 at Atlanta are now considered official.

Chandler Smith officially is credited with the runner-up finish, and he was followed by NASCAR Xfinity Series Rookie of the Year contender Shane van Gisbergen, who came home third.

Sheldon Creed and Parker Retzlaff rounded out the top five finishers in the race.

Jesse Love, who led 157 of the 169 laps in Saturday’s race, officially finished 12th after running out of fuel on the overtime restart.
