The NASCAR Xfinity Series returns on Saturday for some wild Talladega Superspeedway fun in the Unhinged 300. Packs will be tight, the draft will be intense and chances are, you’ll see a big crash at some point in the race.

While you expect a big crash, you can also expect some big cash to be handed out as well. This marks the third of four Xfinity Dash4Cash races this season, which means four drivers will battle for a $100,000 bonus.

The drivers eligible this weekend are: Chase Briscoe, Brandon Jones, Ross Chastain and AJ Allmendinger.

Of the four drivers, whoever finishes higher in Saturday’s race will take the big prize. Allmendinger took the last $100,000 award, which was handed out last Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Kaulig Racing’s Justin Haley will roll from the pole position as he snagged the lucky No. 1 spot in a random drawing. This will not count as an official Pole Award for Haley, and it may mean very little as you can go from 40th to 1st or 1st to 40th in the matter of a few laps at Talladega. However, on the initial start of the race, Haley will be in conceivably the safest spot in the field.

Haley has had success at plate-style racing before. I mean, he has a Cup Series win which came last summer at Daytona (although he won by pit strategy as rain shortened the event) and he scored a win in the Xfinity Series at Daytona in the summer of 2018, only to have it taken away for going below the yellow line.

Overall, Haley has three top-10 finishes in his last three Xfinity Series starts at superspeedway tracks. He should be a factor on Saturday.

Also, don’t sleep on the new Xfinity Series big three.

Chase Briscoe, Noah Gragson and Harrison Burton have combined to win seven of the first 10 races this season, and they sit 1-2-3 in the championship standings.

Gragson won the season-opener at Daytona and he has shown the aggressiveness needed to win at this style of track all year long.

Briscoe and Burton also finished inside the top-five at Daytona and seem plenty capable at plate tracks as well. Expect the big three to possibly snag another big win.

Now let’s get to the important stuff you need to know about Saturday’s race.
