While NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Daniel Hemric remains focused on his championship battle in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, the second-tier division continues to call his name.

Following his return to the series at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWT Raceway), which was an off-weekend for the Truck Series, Hemric has signed up for two more events, rejoining Kaulig Racing to drive the No. 11 Chevrolet.

Hemric will assist Kaulig Racing in filling the roster of its rotisserie Xfinity entry by running back-to-back events, first at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL (October 4) and then at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (October 11).

The 34-year-old driver is a veteran of 187 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, which has come with an impressive statline of 54 top-five and 105 top-10s. Hemric has made five total starts in the second-tier series at the Charlotte ROVAL with two top-fives and four top-10s, as well as 11 starts at Las Vegas with four top-five finishes and eight top-10s.

A native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Hemric is the driver who has frequented the driver’s seat of the No. 11 Chevrolet the most since the release of Josh Williams following the series’ event at Dover Motor Speedway on July 19.

Carson Hocevar (Iowa), Michael McDowell (Watkins Glen), Justin Haley (Daytona), Will Brown (Portland), and Brenden Queen (Bristol and Kansas), as well as Hemric, have served as interim drivers of the No. 11 Chevrolet.

With his considerable experience in NASCAR’s National Series, plus his substantial history with Kaulig Racing (which has spanned both the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series), Hemric was a smart choice to put behind the wheel.

Hemric first partnered with Kaulig Racing for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign, where he (interestingly enough) piloted the No. 11 Chevrolet. Between the Xfinity Series and a stint in the NASCAR Cup Series, Hemric remained with the organization through the 2024 season.

After being released from his full-time seat in the NASCAR Cup Series, in favor of Ty Dillon, Hemric sought out a seat in a lower series, where he eventually found Bill McAnally, who offered him a seat in the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado RST to chase a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series title — something that, with a win at Martinsville, the long-time NASCAR driver was able to take a major step in accomplishing.

The Blue Cross NC 250 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL will take place on Saturday, October 4 at 5:00 PM ET on The CW, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. The following Saturday (October 11) at Las Vegas, the Focused Health 302 will take place at 7:30 PM ET on The CW, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
