Chase Elliott Subbing for Michael Annett in Saturday’s Pennzoil 150 at Indy’s Road Course

2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion, Chase Elliott, will get behind the wheel of the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports in Saturday’s Pennzoil 150 at Indy’s Road Course, the organization announced on Saturday Morning.

Michael Annett, still recovering from leg surgery, will be sitting out his third NASCAR Xfinity Series event of the season, after missing Atlanta and New Hampshire, but returning to run Watkins Glen,

For Elliott, it will be his first start in the series since the 2019 season opener at Daytona, where he drove for JR Motorsports’ No. 8 entry, finishing in 10th.

The Dawsonville, Georgia-native has captured six victories in the series, as well as the 2014 NASCAR Xfinity Series – NASCAR Nationwide Series at that time — championship.
