ARCA Menards Series West competitor Blaine Perkins will make his first foray into NASCAR’s top-three series in 2021, piloting the No. 03 Chevrolet Camaro part-time for Our Motorsports’ two-car NASCAR Xfinity Series operation.

Perkins is currently scheduled to participate in six events – beginning at Martinsville Speedway — for Our Motorsports in 2021, but will have the opportunity to run additional events, if sponsorship can be found.

“It’s both an honor and privilege to make my NASCAR National Series debut with Our Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series,” said Perkins.  “This year I’m looking to gain as much experience and knowledge as I can, and being able to work with Brett Moffitt, the 2018 truck series champion, will be a great opportunity for me. Coming from Bakersfield, Calif., racing has been a huge part of my life since I started racing go-karts 10 years ago. I’m ready to take the next step in my career and look forward to the 2021 season.”

The 20-year-old returned to the ARCA Menards Series West with Sunrise Ford Racing in 2020, after a two-year hiatus from the series – running four ARCA Menards Series events for Mason Mitchell Motorsports in 2018 — notching three wins, eight top-fives and nine top-10s in the series’ 11-race schedule. However, late-season troubles relegated Perkins to second in final points, losing out to eventual champion Jesse Love by 25 points.

“We are very fortunate to have Blaine join our team,” said team owner Chris Our.  “He’s got a ton of talent; he’s very smart and eager to learn.  He’s been a winner in every series he’s raced.  We’re looking forward to getting him to the track, to get him the experience he needs to be a winner at the national level.”

Perkins joins Tyler Reddick and Patrick Emerling as drivers confirmed to pilot the organization’s second full-time entry in 2021, that will feature Danny Johnson calling the shots. Brett Moffitt will run the team’s flagship No. 02 full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021, with Joe Williams, Jr. calling the shots.
