Alon Day, a four-time NASCAR Whelen Euro Series champion, is set to make his return to the NASCAR National Series ranks as he will contest the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series street race at Chicago. Day will run the No. 45 Chevrolet Camaro for Alpha Prime Racing as he attempts to make the field for The Loop 110.

Day will carry primary sponsorship from Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) on the No. 45 machine.

The 32-year-old racer has made a total of six starts in the NASCAR National Series ranks, two in the NASCAR Cup Series, two in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and two in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Day hasn’t made a NASCAR National Series start since running the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series fall race at Richmond Raceway.

Day’s career-best finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series was a 13th-place effrort at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2016, a race he contested in the No. 40 MBM Motorsports entry.

The Israeli-born driver is without a doubt the most established racer in the history of the NASCAR Euro Series. Day has amassed 32 victories over the course of his NASCAR Euro Series career to go along with his four championships.
