No, Corey Heim is not running the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Daytona International Speedway.

The No. 11 Safelite Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is back at the top of the speed charts at the beginning of the new season, but it’s the team’s newest driver, Kaden Honeycutt, who has the championship-winning truck pacing practice from Daytona International Speedway.

Honeycutt, with the help of the draft, put his TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra TRD Pro at the top of the board with a time of 48.439 seconds (185.801mph). Taylor Gray, his teammate at TRICON Garage for the season-opener at Daytona, was second-quickest, less than one-hundredth of a second behind the fast time in the session.

Michael McDowell and Grant Enfinger posted the exact same lap time, 48.449 seconds, around the 2.5-mile superspeedway located in Daytona Beach, Florida, to rank third and fourth overall in the first NASCAR Truck Series practice session of the year.

Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender Cole Butcher rounded out the top five in the session, as the ThorSport Racing driver got himself acclimated with the characteristics of the draft in his first-ever superspeedway event in any division. Timmy Hill, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Dawson Sutton, Gio Ruggiero, and John Hunter Nemechek rounded out the top-10 in the 50-minute practice.

One of the major storylines coming into the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway is the return to RAM to the series with Kaulig Racing, who will field five full-time entries throughout the season.

None of the five trucks chose to make laps in the draft on Thursday, instead electing to make single-truck runs throughout the session to perfect their qualifying setups. Thus, that leaves Brenden Queen as the fastest RAM driver in 27th. Daniel Dye (29th), Justin Haley (30th), Tony Stewart (31st), and Mini Tyrrell (35th) all found themselves near the bottom of the speed charts, due to not getting a strong lap with other trucks around.

Daniel Hemric, Toni Breidinger, Bryan Dauzat, Greg Van Alst, Kris Wright, Justin Carroll, and Jason Kitzmiller didn’t post a time during Thursday’s practice at Daytona International Speedway after they failed to get through pre-practice technical inspection.

Qualifying for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Daytona will take place on Friday, February 13, at 3:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 1, Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
