Johnny Sauter Takes Stage 2 Win at Michigan, Attempting to Overcome L1 Penalty

Johnny Sauter is looking to bounce back from a hefty L1 penalty in pre-race inspection on Friday at Michigan International Speedway. He’s making solid head-way as he took the Stage 2 win in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Henry Ford Health Center 200.

Sauter set up his track position by utilizing pit strategy at the end of Stage 1.

Once Stage 2 began, he knifed his around Raphael Lessard for the lead on lap 29. Lessard would have a tire go down during the Stage.

Brett Moffitt, who won Stage 1, finished runner-up to Sauter in Stage 2. Todd Gilliland was third, while Grant Enfinger and Tanner Gray rounded out the top-five.

Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, John Hunter Nemechek, Parker Kligerman and Derek Kraus made up the remainder of the top-10.
