He’s not locked into next weekend’s Championship 4 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but Joey Logano got a step closer in Stage 2 of the Bluegreen Vacations 500 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix.

The driver of the No. 22 Ford Mustang, who is the defending Cup Series champion, dominated the Stage and took the 10 Stage points as he won the Stage.

Denny Hamlin, who won Stage 1, nabbed second from Chase Elliott in the closing laps of the Stage. Elliott held on to finish third.

Kyle Busch finished Stage 2 in fourth and Ryan Blaney ended Stage 2 in fifth.

Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick and Kyle Larson rounded out the top-eight which were all filled by Playoff drivers.

Brad Keselowski and Kurt Busch were the two highest non-Playoff drivers in ninth and 10th.
