There are 37 cars on the preliminary entry list for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway, the 35th race of the 36-race season and final race of the Playoffs Round of 8.

With up to 40 cars permitted to start races in the NASCAR Cup Series, no drivers or teams will head home at the conclusion of this week’s qualifying session.

Chase Briscoe, last weekend’s race winner at Talladega Superspeedway, who secured his berth into the Championship 4, will return this weekend behind the wheel of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry XSE with primary sponsorship from Bass Pro Shops.

Briscoe, who has three wins on the season, will have the luxury of not worrying about his finishing position in this week’s race in relation to his championship hopes.

In addition to Briscoe, Denny Hamlin is also able to drive stress-free this weekend, as he secured his Championship 4 berth with a win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Christopher Bell (+37 points to the cutline), Kyle Larson (+36), William Byron (-36), Joey Logano (-38), Ryan Blaney (-47), and Chase Elliott (-62) all have one last chance to secure their place in the Championship race at Phoenix Raceway next weekend.

The lone notable entry on the list this week is Casey Mears, who continues his quest for 500 career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series. Mears will once again pilot the No. 66 SI Yachts Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Garage 66.

This will mark the fourth start of the NASCAR Cup Series season for Mears, who finished 18th last weekend at Talladega, and it will equal his 493rd career start.
