There are 38 drivers on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, the eighth event of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.

With up to 40 drivers being permitted to start events in the NASCAR Cup Series this season, there will be no cars or drivers packing up and heading home following this weekend’s qualifying session.

Denny Hamlin, who went to Victory Lane in last Sunday’s Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway, will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing. SportsClips will serve as the team’s primary sponsor for the event.

In honor of NASCAR’s annual Throwback Weekend at Darlington Raceway, Hamlin will be paying tribute to Carl Edwards with the paint scheme that Carl Edwards utilized during the 2000s when he was sponsored by Office Depot.

This weekend, a pair of open entries will accompany the 36 NASCAR Cup Series entries holding a charter on the racetrack at Darlington Raceway.

Austin Hill will be making his first NASCAR Cup Series start of the season at Darlington, driving the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. JJ Yeley will be driving the No. 44 for NY Racing once again this weekend.
