There are 39 cars on the preliminary entry list for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the 20th race of the 33-race 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
With up to 38 cars being permitted to start each weekend in the NASCAR Xfinity Series one driver and team will go home following this week’s qualifying session.
Cole Custer, the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular-season points leader and winner of last week’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway, will return this weekend in the No. 00 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang with primary sponsorship from Haas Automation.
JD Motorsports is not currently on the preliminary entry list, confirming a report from TobyChristie.com on Monday that cited sources that disclosed the team was unlikely to enter the race due to laying off a large portion of its employees on Monday. If the team does enter a car, it’ll be a late entry.
