Dylan Lupton Scores Two-Race Deal with Sam Hunt Racing Beginning at Las Vegas

Dylan Lupton will team up with Sam Hunt Racing to return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the first-time in 2018, piloting the No. 26 Toyota Supra in a pair of events later this season, the organization announced on Thursday Afternoon.

The 27-year-old will make his triumphant return to the series in the playoff opener at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 25th, before returning to the seat of the Sam Hunt Racing Toyota Supra at Texas Motor Speedway on October 16, marking his 36th and 37th career starts in the Xfinity Series.

 

In his 35 prior starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Lupton has notched one top-10 finish at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2015, driving for Athenian Motorsports. Staying involved in the series on a part-time basis in the seasons following, Lupton landed at JGL Racing, where he made his most recent start at Pocono Raceway, before the organization closed its doors.

Over the last two seasons, Lupton has run a limited schedule in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for David Gilliland Racing, notching a NASCAR top-three series best of fifth-place at Kentucky Speedway for the organization in 2019. The Wilton, California-native announced on Thursday, that he’d be returning to the series at Darlington, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
