Viega LLC will sponsor JTG Daugherty Racing’s pit crew in 11 NASCAR Cup Series events in 2022, with a placement on the No. 47’s C-post throughout the season.

Viega, a worldwide leader in pipe fitting installation technology for industrial, commercial, and residential projects, has partnered with NASCAR Cup Series team JTG Daugherty Racing, in quite a unique way.

The partnership will see the company serving as the primary sponsor of the organization’s pit crew in 2022, while also having a prominent placement on the C-post of Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro throughout the entire season.

“Viega supports professionals that make things happen, and we’re aligned to promote the high quality of their products,” Stenhouse Jr. said. “Pit crews are professionals with a special skill set, and they must have the right tools to do their job to work fast, efficiently, and effectively just like the tradespeople working with Viega products. We have a fitting pit crew that Viega has partnered with this season. We’re looking forward to being successful on and off the track together, and communicating that Viega’s press technology is a safer secure alternative for connecting pipe.”

Viega’s “Fast, Safe, and Secure” message will be displayed on the yellow and black pit crew uniforms that will be featured in 11 NASCAR Cup Series events in 2022, beginning at Las Vegas (March 6).

The bright-colored firesuits will also be present on the NASCAR Cup Series pit lane at COTA (March 27), Talladega (April 24), Dover (May 1), Kansas (May 15), Gateway (June 15), New Hampshire (July 17), Pocono (July 24), Michigan (August 7), Watkins Glen (August 21), and Las Vegas (October 16).

“Races are won and lost in the pits – it’s all about maximum efficiency and knowing the wheels are safely secured,” said Jared Mackrory, Viega Marketing Director. “It’s the same challenge the professionals in our industry face as they install pipe fittings and hustle to get critical lines back up and running. We love that shared connection and are proud to support the professionals on the JTG Daugherty Racing pit crew.”

JTG Daugherty Racing has also revamped its pit crew for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, hand-picking crew members from across the garage to formulate their new pit crew, as follows:

  • Front Changer: Austin Holland, former backup front tire changer for Roush Fenway Racing.
  • Rear Changer: Dalton Leonard, former rear tire changer for Roush Fenway Racing.
  • Tire Carrier: Zack Yager, former tire carrier for Roush Fenway Fenway
  • Jackman: Nick Patterson, former backup jackman for Roush Fenway Racing.
  • Fuelman: Dan Mrak, former backup fuel man for Roush Fenway Racing.
