Video: Ross Chastain Turned Down Daytona Backstretch; 19 Cars Collected

Chase Elliott, who entered Saturday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona second in regular-season points, is out of the penultimate event of the NASCAR Cup Series regular-season, after a major wreck down the backstretch.

The accident started when an awry push from Kyle Larson to Corey LaJoie to Noah Gragson, sent the No. 10 Ford Mustang Dark Horse darting across the racetrack, and back into traffic after slight contact with Justin Haley.

When a wreck happens in the middle of the pack, the tail-end of the field has nowhere to go, and several drivers get collected. In this instance, at least 15 cars, and maybe even more, sustained some sort of damage in the incident.
