Video: Playoff Contenders Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski Suffer Flat Tires in Stage 1 at Kansas

Luckily, it’s still early, so Playoff contenders Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski could rally in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, but things did not get off to the greatest of starts in Stage 1.

Just after a red flag for rain, Kyle Busch got into the wall off of turn 2 and slapped the wall. The contact caused Busch’s tire to go down, sending him to pit road.

Here is video of Busch’s issue:

Fortunately, for Busch, his incident brought out a caution, which helped him stay on the lead lap.

On lap 38, Keselowski suffered a flat right rear tire after contact with Martin Truex Jr., followed by contact in the wall.

Busch sits 15th on lap 48 and is on the lead lap, while Keselowski is two laps off the pace in 37th.

Heading into Sunday’s race, Busch was comfortably in the top-four of the championship standings with an eight-point cushion over Chase Elliott in fifth, while Keselowski entered the race in sixth, 15 points behind Busch..
