Martin Truex Jr. had the field covered Sunday in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship-deciding event at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Truex won Stage 1, and had led 98 laps before he realized his team put the tires on the wrong side of the car during a green flag pit stop in Stage 2.
Truex would have to pit to get the correct tires on the car. As a result, Truex fell to 13th, a lap off the pace.
Disaster for Martin Truex Jr.!
The team switched tires on pit road, switching the right front and left front! He’s now one lap down. #Championship4 pic.twitter.com/boW061Gvlk
