Video: Kyle Larson Catches Apron, Sends Chastain and Others Crashing in Overtime

That. Just. Happened.

A late-race spin by Austin Cindric sent Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway into an Overtime restart attempt, and on the restart, arguably the sports best driver made a massive error.

Kyle Larson, who was lined up from the third position, was on the back bumper of race leader Denny Hamlin trying to force him into a mistake into Turn 1. But Larson misjudged the corner, and clipped the apron with his race car, which made his No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro bottom out.

The clip into the apron sent Larson skidding up the track into second-place Ross Chastain, which sent Chastain backing hard into the outside wall.

Kyle Busch, who had nowhere to go, piled into the outside wall with Chastain, and behind them several other cars crashed in a secondary crash in the aftermath of things.

In all, nine drivers were involved in the Overtime incidents. Those drivers include Chastain, Austin Dillon, Larson, Corey LaJoie, Kyle Busch, William Byron, Daniel Hemric, John Hunter Nemechek, and Ty Gibbs.
