Video: Katherine Legge Self-Spins to Bring Out First Caution

Katherine Legge, the first female racer to start a NASCAR Cup Series event since Danica Patrick’s start in the 2018 Daytona 500, saw a rough start to her race on Sunday afternoon at Phoenix Raceway.

Legge, who was running in the last position (37th), lost control of her car on the exit of Turn 2, and went for a self-spin down the backstretch. Fortunately, Legge was able to keep her car out of the wall, and was able to continue on with no issues.
