Jonathan Davenport, one of the most anticipated NASCAR Cup Series debuts in recent memory, has run into some issues in the middle portion of Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race at Bristol.
Davenport, driving the No. 13 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing, was running around the 20th position, when he self-spun in the middle of turns three and four, sending himself for a full spin in front of the field.

The Nutrien Ag Solutions-sponsored entry was sliding down the racetrack after the spin, as the remainder of the field approached the NASCAR Cup Series debutant. However, despite a super close call for Brad Keselowski, the field got by without issue.
Davenport was able to continue in the event, which has been plagued by several caution flags over the course of the race’s first 100 laps.
