Coming to the white flag of Sunday’s Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Ty Dillon spun his No. 42 Petty GMS Chevrolet to the inside of the track in Turn Four. No caution was thrown. Screenshot from Twitter video.

If you were thinking that you saw a cloud of smoke on the broadcast as race leader Kyle Larson came to take the checkered flag Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, it looks like you weren’t seeing things.

Even though NBC Sports didn’t catch any actual footage of a last-lap incident, Ty Dillon did indeed spin around in Turn 4 on the final lap of the race, in what appears to be a single-car spin for the Petty GMS driver.

@DesignsSf (Speedy) on Twitter captured video of the last-lap spin from his seat in the grandstands at Homestead-Miami Speedway. NASCAR was able to not throw a caution, as Dillon scurried away from the scene to finish the race.

The last-lap spin for the driver of the No. 42 Sunseeker Resorts Chevrolet Camaro put the cap on a difficult afternoon for Petty GMS, who saw both of the team’s entries finish outside the top-25 in 26th and 30th, both multiple laps down.
