WHAT A BATTLE — Ross Chastain, William Byron and Martin Truex Jr. were three-wide for the lead for more than three-straight laps in Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway.

HOLY COW! That isn’t possible, is it? Well, we now know it is. On the Stage 2 restart of Sunday’s night’s NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, we saw some incredible racing up front for the race lead.

Ross Chastain, William Byron, and Martin Truex Jr. got locked into a three-wide battle, which lasted for more than three-consecutive laps.

Eventually, Truex would prevail to take the race lead. Here is a video of the incredible fight for the lead early in Stage 2.

While we haven’t seen the treacherous side of the 1.333-mile speedway rear its head yet in Sunday’s race, we have seen phenomenal racing on the track. The Ally 400 has already featured 10 lead changes among eight different drivers in the opening 100 laps of the event.

Hopefully, the race can keep the momentum going all race long.
