Video: Chase Elliott Secures Win as Chastain and Byron Crash Behind Him

Chase Elliott has done it. The driver of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has scored his first NASCAR Cup Series win since an October 2022 triumph at Talladega Superspeedway. Elliott took the win in a wild Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway, which took multiple overtime restarts to decide.

Ultimately, Elliott secured the win as Ross Chastain spun off of the front bumper of William Byron’s No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in a fierce battle for second on the final lap as the field reached the backstretch.

With the race being on the final lap, it meant the next flag would end the race. The caution flag was displayed, and Elliott worked his way back around to the finish line to win the race.

Here is another replay of the finish:

And here is a video of sight (and sound), which was 560 days in the making — the Si-reen sounding at the Dawsonville Pool Room following a win for Chase Elliott:

  1. Byron needs to be taken down a notch. He almost wrecked Keselowski with his cut down across his nose and did wreck Chastain.
