Video: Aric Almirola Suffers Major Right Front Damage After Contact With Corey LaJoie

It’s gonna be a tough road for Aric Almirola Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Sure, the driver of the No. 10 could rally for his second win of the season, but he has catastrophic damage on the right front of his machine after contact with Corey LaJoie in the opening Stage of the Verizon 200.

After the contact, Almirola went to pit road to get repairs. He would fall a lap down during the pit stop, but at the end of the Stage Almirola would get his lap back as the majority of the leaders came to pit road before the end of Stage 1.

Almirola finished Stage 1 in 39th, but he’s back on the lead lap and we’ll see if he can make a miraculous comeback without a right front fender.
