That’s not supposed to happen…

He may not have won a race – or even Wednesday Night’s burnout competition in Nashville — but the resilience is much appreciated by Alex Bowman, who hadn’t even started his burnout sequence when he blew the transmission on his No. 48 car.

Jeff Gluck of The Athletic, caught the blunder on video:

Bernard Pollard Jr – who was riding in the car with the four-time winner this season — posted a reaction video of him in the car throughout the entire burnout sequence.

Bowman was somehow able to recover though and still got the opportunity to do a burnout with Pollard in the car.
