On Tuesday, Hendrick Motorsports announced that the four-car organization has extended its partnership with Valvoline – a global leader in vehicle care and supplier of premium branded lubricants and automotive services — through 2027.

The organization’s five-year extension maintains Valvoline’s status as the Official Lubricants Partner of Hendrick Motorsports, as well as the company’s major associate sponsorship of the Hendrick Motorsports stable of entries.

As part of the renewed sponsorship agreement, Valvoline will continue as a three-race primary sponsor of defending NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Kyle Larson, and a two-race sponsor of Hendrick teammate William Byron.

“We are tremendously proud of our partnership with Valvoline,” said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports and chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group. “Because of Valvoline’s commitment to quality and innovation, we’ve enjoyed great success together both at the track and in our dealerships. Extending the relationship will allow us to continue putting the very best products in our race cars and in the vehicles of our customers across the country.”

Since 2014, Hendrick Motorsports has earned a series-best three championships (2016, 2020, and 2021) with Valvoline products in its Chevrolet engines. Off the track, Valvoline is the preferred lubricant of Hendrick Automotive Group, which operated 94 car dealerships across the United States.

“The Valvoline team is thrilled to continue our partnership with Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group,” said Heidi Matheys, senior vice president and chief?marketing and transformation officer at Valvoline Inc. “Our decade-long relationship has driven success both on and off the track.? We look forward to driving more wins with the amazing Hendrick organization in the future.”

In 2021, Valvoline expanded its partnership with Hendrick Motorsports to include primary sponsorship of both Larson and Byron’s entries. The five races of primary sponsorship marked an increase of three over the three previous seasons.

For this season, Valvoline has added a sixth race of sponsorship and will be featured on William Byron’s No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro in the first of three events on the entry in 2022. The company will return to Kyle Larson’s No. 5 at Homestead.

With Tuesday’s announcement, Kyle Larson’s sponsorship inventory for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season has been spoken for, with Byron having confirmed 26/38 races of sponsorship for next season.
