Could things get any better for Tyler Reddick? Not only did he win the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship. Not only did he find a very competitive ride for the 2019 season to defend his title. But now, he will also be in the most prestigious race in NASCAR.

Friday, Reddick hit Twitter with a relatively shocking news announcement. Richard Childress Racing has found funding to place the 23-year-old in a third entry for the 2019 Daytona 500.

The Tweet shows that Reddick will drive a No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and that the car will have flat black incorporated in the paint scheme. But that is all Reddick and RCR can reveal at this time.

The paint scheme and official sponsorship announcement will come next week.

This is huge news as it not only means there will be another car vying for a spot in the Daytona 500 field, but the California product will be looking to make his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series debut.

Reddick of course won the season-opening Xfinity Series race at Daytona a year ago, which led to his Playoff berth that resulted in a championship. Reddick will look to showcase his drafting prowess again in the biggest race in all the land.
