The Veterans Ranch is set to partner with Garage 66 (formerly MBM Motorsports) and driver Garrett Smithley for the 2025 Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, the organization announced on Friday.

Smithley, a native of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, was selected by the NASCAR Cup Series organization to compete in the pre-season exhibition event in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The historic event will mark the first time since November 2022 that Smithley has competed at NASCAR’s top-level.

The Veterans Ranch is dedicated to providing transformative equine therapy to
Veterans, Active Duty Military, Gold Star Families, and First Responders. Through the power of horse-human connection, the company aims to reduce PTSD and offer healing and hope to those who have served the nation selflessly.

“We couldn’t be happier or prouder to partner with Carl Long and have Garrett Smithley represent us in the NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium,” said JR Smith, Vice President of The Veterans Ranch. “This collaboration is a remarkable opportunity to highlight the important work we do at The Veterans Ranch, supporting Veterans, Gold Star Families, and First Responders through equine therapy. Everyone at The Veterans Ranch is extremely proud of this effort, and we can’t wait to see Garrett take to the track in the No. 66 Ford Mustang.”

The 2025 Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will take place on Sunday, February 2 at 8:00 PM ET. Coverage of the event will be on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
