Chances are you’ve heard of The Athletic by now. If not, what it is basically is a rising beacon for those who enjoy true sports journalism. No baited headlines, no tricks, no gimmicks. Just solid news and stories from some of the greatest writers that cover sports from around the country.

Wednesday, The Athletic announced that they will begin to add NASCAR coverage to their outlet and they swung for the fences with their staff of writers.

Obviously, the biggest catch, is Jeff Gluck.

Gluck has covered NASCAR since 2004, and has a legion of fans who follow his work anywhere he goes. Gluck has more than 195,000 Twitter followers to date. All the while, Gluck remains down to earth and easy to talk to, which is what undoubtedly appeals to his readers.

Joining Gluck will be Jordan Bianchi and David Smith.

Bianchi, like Gluck, is a solid beat reporter, while Smith is a superior stats guy.

Let’s welcome The Athletic as they enter the world of NASCAR. To read more about Gluck’s move to the website and how to go about reading the work that the three writers will be producing, click here.
