Joey Logano’s Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang honoring Bobby Allison’s 1985 Miller American paint scheme

Team Penske and Joey Logano will honor Bobby Allison’s famous Miller American paint scheme from 1985 at Darlington Raceway’s “Throwback Weekend” on September 6.

In 718 NASCAR Cup Series starts, Allison recorded a total of 84 series victories – four of which came partnered with Team Penske — tying him fourth on the all-time win list, with former NASCAR on FOX analyst Darrell Waltrip.

The paint scheme on Logano’s No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang fits seamlessly into the selected theme for this seasons “Throwback Weekend”, which was announced last December as “NASCAR Champions… Past, Present and Future”.

Over an incredible twenty-five years in the NASCAR Cup Series, Allison was easily one of the most consistent drivers on the circuit, finishing inside the top-ten in point standings in 18 of his 23 full-time seasons, while posting an impressive 11.5 average finish throughout his career.

Fans of Joey Logano, Bobby Allison or Team Penske in general, will be able to see this stunning paint scheme on track at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, September 6th as the NASCAR Cup Series takes on Darlington Raceway for a third-time this season.
