We have a driver change heading into Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. Scott Heckert will replace Kyle Tilley in the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Ford Mustang.

The team announced the news on Friday via a tweet:

Tilley, a native of England, was on the entry list for the Live Fast team and was scheduled to get his fourth NASCAR Cup Series start of the season.

Tilley finished 31st at Circuit of the Americas, 35th at Road America and 30th at Watkins Glen for the team. Tilley dropped out of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course event and was replaced by Andy Lally on the starting grid.

No reason for Tilley stepping aside this weekend was given by the team.

Heckert, another road racing specialist, will make his third start of the season for the team. Heckert finished 28th at the Daytona Road Course back in February and he finished 26th at Sonoma.

Heckert will likely drop to the rear of the field before Sunday’s race due to a driver change from the entry list, but that determination hasn’t officially been made by NASCAR.
