Roush Fenway Racing will have Oscar Mayer back on their race cars in 2019. The iconic meats brand was on board their No. 6 car at Darlington Raceway a season ago with Matt Kenseth behind the wheel. Now, they will be the primary sponsor for Ryan Newman in the season-opening Daytona 500.

“The Daytona 500 is obviously one of the biggest and most iconic races in the world,” said Newman, driver of the No. 6 Oscar Mayer Ford Mustang and the 2008 winner of the Daytona 500. “And I can’t think of a better way to kick off the season and our partnership with Oscar Mayer; one of the most beloved brands in the world.”

A press release states that in addition to Daytona, the brand will be the primary sponsor at Phoenix in March and for, “a number of races throughout the year.”

The release did not state exactly how many races that Oscar Mayer will be the primary, but the company will be an associate sponsor of Newman’s as well for the entire season.

“We’re honored to be a season-long sponsor of driver Ryan Newman and Roush Fenway Racing,” said Matt Riezman, Associate Director for Oscar Mayer. “We have big plans to support the sport and the No. 6 Oscar Mayer Ford Mustang this year and can’t wait to share our love for tasty Oscar Mayer bacon, cold cuts and hot dogs with NASCAR fans.”

According to the release, the No. 6 will feature a different paint scheme in every race that Oscar Mayer adorns their hood. Each time it will feature a different offering of the brand, whether it be hot dogs, bacon, deli meats or something else.

Newman enters his 18th season of his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career. Through 620 starts, the Indiana native has 18-career wins, 112 top-fives, 247 top-10s and an astonishing 51 poles.
