On Tuesday, NASCAR confirmed to Joseph Srigley of TobyChristie.com the full list of Owner Point transfers ahead of the 2025 NASCAR National Series campaign, which starts this weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

NASCAR CUP SERIES

With Stewart-Haas Racing shutting its doors after the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign, the organization’s four charters had to be dispersed ahead of the upcoming season.

The charter used by the No. 4 team and driver Josh Berry in 2024, will be transferred to Front Row Motorsports, where Noah Gragson will pilot the No. 4 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, a third entry for the organization.

23XI Racing has obtained a third NASCAR Cup Series charter for the upcoming season and will field the No. 35 Toyota Camry XSE for Rookie of The Year contender Riley Herbst in 2025. The charter comes from the No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing team.

Trackhouse Racing has also obtained a third NASCAR Cup Series charter, purchasing the No. 14 charter from Stewart-Haas Racing, and will bring the No. 88 back to the NASCAR Cup Series with three-time Supercars champion Shane Van Gisbergen.

The fourth and final charter from Stewart-Haas Racing, the No. 41, was retained by Gene Haas for his new NASCAR Cup Series venture Haas Factory Team, which will field the No. 41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Cole Custer in 2025.

Aside from those four charter transfers, the only other notable change involving charters happens as RFK Racing expands to a third NASCAR Cup Series entry, leasing the No. 15 charter from Rick Ware Racing.

Spire Motorsports (No. 07), JR Motorsports (No. 40), and TRICON Garage (No. 56) have all registered car numbers for open entries. JRM (Justin Allgaier) and TRICON (Martin Truex, Jr.) are both scheduled to attempt the Daytona 500.

NASCAR XFINITY SERIES

The NASCAR Xfinity Series, unlike the NASCAR Cup Series, sets its field for the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway using Owner Points, rather than a charter system, meaning every single spot is crucial.

Several organizations, including Joe Gibbs Racing, Haas Factory Team, Kaulig Racing, DGM Racing x JIM, AM Racing, and SS-GreenLight Racing will be performing internal transfers ahead of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign.

The first major change, however, comes at 16th place. Joey Gase Motorsports has purchased a set of owner points from JR Motorsports (No. 9), for its flagship No. 35 entry, which will be anchored by Greg Van Alst in 2025.

JR Motorsports will not field its No. 9 Chevrolet – with only nine races confirmed as of the time of publishing – paving the way for this transaction to occur. JGM’s No. 35 points from last season will be moved to its No. 53 entry, while the No. 53’s points from 2024 have been sold to Sam Hunt Racing for the No. 24.

Viking Motorsports is separating itself from RSS Racing this season, going solo to field the No. 99 Chevrolet full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The organization will, however, take the 30th-place points it jointly earned with the team for its new venture.

Cope Family Racing, a new NASCAR Xfinity Series organization owned by 1990 Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope, will have a set of owner points, purchasing them from RSS Racing’s No. 29, which placed 33rd in final owner points last season.

Several teams are newly registered for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign, including a second entry for Big Machine Racing (No. 98), a fourth entry for DGM Racing (No. 36), and a second entry for both Young’s Motorsports (No. 02) and AM Racing (No. 76).

IMSA organization Cyber Dynamics Racing has registered to use the No. 68 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team Hill Motorsports has also registered to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025, using the No. 56.

NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES

Similar to the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series also uses owner points to determine which drivers will get a provisional and qualify for the event.

After the partnership between REV Racing and Spire Motorsports came to an end, as reported by TobyChristie.com, the fifth-place owner points from the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado have been moved to Spire’s No. 77, which will be driven by ARCA Menards Series champion Andres Perez de Lara.

The No. 77’s points from last season, ranked 18th, will be sent to the newly minted fourth NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series entry for Spire Motorsports, the No. 07, which will compete in the season-opener at Daytona with Michael McDowell.

Front Row Motorsports is moving the No. 38 Ford F-150’s owner points to the No. 34, keeping them with Layne Riggs as he swaps numbers for the 2025 season. Chandler Smith, his teammate in the No. 38, will have no owner points heading to Daytona.

McAnally-Hilgemann Racing will swap the No. 43 points to the re-numbered No. 81 Chevrolet, which will be driven by Connor Mosack in 2025.

Reaume Brothers Racing has acquired points from Young’s Motorsports’ No. 02 entry (ranked 30th) for its No. 22 entry, which will have Jason White behind the wheel at Daytona International Speedway. The No. 2 will take on points from the No. 22.

Young’s Motorsports will utilize the points from its No. 46 entry in 2024 (ranked 33rd) for its No. 02 Chevrolet, which will run the full season with Nathan Byrd as the anchor driver. The organization has also re-registered the No. 46 as a new entry.

Niece Motorsports has also established the existence of a fifth NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series entry, transferring the 34th-place points from the No. 44 entry to the No. 47.

Hettinger Racing, which has the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado entered at Daytona with Mason Maggio, has registered a second entry, the No. 24, for the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign.

Akinori Performance, a newly announced part-time entry for Akinori Ogata in the NASCAR Truck Series, has also registered to take on the No. 63 for 2025.
