NASCAR’s end-of-year banquet, held annually to celebrate the top drivers in each of NASCAR’s National Series, is moving to North Carolina in 2024, the sanctioning body confirmed on Friday.

The Charlotte Convention Center will be hosting the two-day event, which will take place on Thursday, November 21, and Friday, November 22, 2024.

Thursday’s portion of the banquet will not be televised but will include champions from the NASCAR Regional Series and NASCAR International Series.

Series represented on Thursday include the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, ARCA Menards Series West, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, NASCAR Brasil Series, NASCAR Canada Series, NASCAR Mexico Series, and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

However, Friday’s portion of the banquet is the major attraction, and thus will be shown on The CW on Sunday, November 24 at 3:00 PM ET.

Champions from the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will all be present for the post-season banquet on Friday, as well as the highest performers in each division.

Friday’s events also include the awarding of NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver Award for each of the top three divisions. Those awards are fan-voted, with voting set to open after the end of the season.

“We are pleased to announce our move to the Queen City for our postseason celebrations,” said Michelle Byron, EVP, Chief Partnership and Licensing Officer at NASCAR. “Being able to trace many of our sport’s racing roots back to the North Carolina area, you can feel the energy and passion for NASCAR from the fans in Charlotte. We’re excited to officially crown our champions in the Queen City.”

The 2024 NASCAR Awards will mark the first time the post-season banquet is held in the heart of NASCAR’s operations, with previous locations including New York (1981 to 2008), Las Vegas (2009 to 2018), and Nashville (2019 to 2023).
