UPDATE 11:35 AM ET 11-17-19:

Martin Truex Jr.’s No. 19 car has passed inspection on their second attempt and will not have to drop to the rear at the start of Sunday’s championship race.

ORIGINAL STORY 11:10 AM ET 11-17-19:

Martin Truex Jr.’s No. 19 team has had a hard time with inspection as of late, and that trend has continued in Homestead.

The Championship 4 contending team was the only title contender, which didn’t pass pre-race inspection on their first pass through the inspection bay.

Luckily, there is no penalty for a first-time failure. If Truex’s team fails to get their car to pass on the second try, they will have to drop to the rear for the start of the Championship event.

We will keep this post updated on that for Truex.

For the other championship contenders: Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick, everything is clear as they have passed pre-race inspection and have been cleared to take their position on the starting grid for Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400.
