When the NASCAR Cup Series teams unload the haulers to begin the weekend’s festivities for the Busch Light Clash at the LA Memorial Coliseum next month, it’ll be “5 o’Clock Somewhere”. Michael McDowell and the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports team will carry the colors of Margaritaville at Sea as his primary sponsorship partner for the NASCAR Cup Series season-opening exhibition event.

The paint scheme on the team’s Ford Mustang will celebrate the launch of the newest ship in the Margaritaville at Sea cruise fleet, The Islander.

McDowell and Front Row Motorsports, who impressed mightily in 2023 by winning the NASCAR Cup Series event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course to work their way into the Playoffs, caught the eye of Margaritaville at Sea.

“We’re excited to partner with Front Row Motorsports and Michael for the first event of the NASCAR Cup Series and what is shaping up to be a very exciting season on the track and on the seas,” said Margaritaville at Sea’s CMO Amanda Travaglini. “With the launch of The Islander on the horizon and Michael at the wheel, Front Row is the team we wanted to help introduce Margaritaville at Sea to race fans.”

Another unique feature of Margaritaville at Sea is that the cruise liner is the only liner in the world that offers a “Heroes Sail Free” program. Invited active and veteran U.S. military service members, police, fire, EMS personnel, government healthcare workers and educators get the opportunity to enjoy one free cruise fare to the Bahamas with a paying guest.

McDowell is excited to carry the tropical Margaritaville at Sea theme and he is appreciative of Margaritaville at Sea’s support for heroes such as U.S. Military Service Members, Police, Fire, EMS, and more.

“On the track, we’re all about speed, but when it’s island time, there’s no better way to slow down and chill out than with Margaritaville at Sea,” said McDowell, who is looking forward to another successful season in 2024. “While we are early in the season, we already know where we are going when the flag drops on the final race – a cruise with Margaritaville.  We appreciate all our sponsors, especially those who support our military and frontline heroes like Margaritaville at Sea.”

McDowell, 39, has experienced a career resurgence over the past three seasons with Front Row Motorsports as he has made the Playoffs two out of the last three seasons, and he has amassed 25 of his 37 career top-10 finishes over the three-season stretch.

The Arizona native and his team, which is led by crew chief Travis Peterson, look to build upon a very successful 2023 season in 2024.
