Kyle Busch impressed many with his solid driving performance in his first-ever attempt at the Rolex 24.

After a blown motor before qualifying relegated the No. 14 Lexus team to a 37th-place starting spot, the team suffered in the early going on the race with an ill-handling race car which resulted in tire degradation.

However as the 24-hour marathon continued, the team led by road racing veteran Jack Hawksworth and the two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Busch began to climb the rankings.

At the end of the event, the No. 14 team had risen to finish 26th overall in the race and they were ninth in the GTD class.

For Busch, it was an awesome experience and he was all smiles after climbing from the car. Busch even stated, that he would like to compete in the endurance race again sometime.

AJ Allmendinger, who is scheduled to run the season-opening NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona with Kaulig Racing, finished one spot ahead of Busch’s team in his No. 57 Acura NSX GTD entry.

Wayne Taylor Racing’s No. 10 Cadillac DPi entry took the overall victory. They have proven to be a power house in the Rolex 24.
