Kurt Busch drove through Kevin Smith for the 2021 2.4 Hours of LeMullets win.

Kurt Busch is the 2021 champion of the 2.4 Hours of LeMullets, but the victory came in controversial fashion as the 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion made an aggressive move on the final lap to put Kevin Smith sideways.

As Smith went nearly around, Busch scooted past for the lead, and the win, in his No. 2501 machine.

“I love Florida!” Busch stated in excitement after the race. “It’s like a party down here all the time. I love you guys. Was that a local guy? Am I okay? Of course. Did you see the first time I used nitrous was through the chicane?”

Here is video of the frantic action:

During Busch’s victory celebration, Smith retaliated by spinning the legendary NASCAR driver.

Fellow NASCAR Cup Series driver, Alex Bowman led the event earlier in the evening, but a flat tire doomed Bowman’s chances at the win. Instead, Bowman finished 13th.

Parker Kligerman was also in the field, his Fast.co entry finished 16th of 18.

  1. Oh Wow, I had not heard that this guy bought the old DeSoto Raceway in Bradenton!!! I am so glad to hear it……Looks like he’s marketing it to the hilt. I already subscribed to his channel. Want to see the Christmas Tree Event coming up. Got to love the title he used for this 2.4 Hours of LeMullets. Hysterical…..I was at DeSoto Raceway about 10 years ago and got autographs from Rusty Wallace (and his son), Harry Gant and Sterling Marlin……place was packed. Great venue
