Justin Marks put to bed a rumor, which started in the r/NASCAR subreddit, that Pitbull had left Trackhouse Racing as an investor in a post on his account on X at 3:52 AM ET on Wednesday. In his post, Marks stated that the report was the result of, “Unreliable ‘media’ perpetuating a lie.”

“Every single element to the stories of my friend and partner @pitbull leaving Trackhouse are materially untrue,” Marks said in his post on X. “Unreliable ‘media’ perpetuating a lie. We have big plans for 2025 and beyond!”

According to the rumor, Pitbull’s exit would have been tied to Trackhouse acquiring a ‘Significant’ minority stake in its parent company — Trackhouse Entertainment Group — from Avenue Sports Fund earlier this month. With Marks officially shutting that rumor down, we can now move forward knowing that Mr. Worldwide will remain very active in the NASCAR world with Trackhouse for the foreseeable future.

The unfounded Reddit rumor was picked up by EssentiallySports (no surprise) on July 29, and then was magnified by Newsweek and then later Daily Downforce, which led to increased speculation that the renowned musical artist Pitbull was no longer tied to the NASCAR Cup Series program.

No true legitimate news outlet had any kind of report saying that the musical artist had left the NASCAR race team.

As NASCAR is in the midst of a two-week break for the Paris Olympics, Trackhouse Racing has had an up-and-down year through the opening 22 races of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The driver of the team’s No. 99 entry — Daniel Suarez — picked up his second win of the year in a photo finish at Atlanta back in February to lock himself into the Playoffs, but the driver has been hit-or-miss ever since.

The team’s other driver, Ross Chastain remains in a battle for his Playoff life as he sits just seven points above the Playoff cutline with four races remaining until the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs begin.
