Justin Haley shocked the world by being up front when lightning and eventually rain ended the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway 33 laps before the scheduled distance. Now, a week later he is in negotiations to buy the car that brought him his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win.

There’s just one problem — if Spire sells the race car to him, they will be left with just two super speedway cars in their fleet.

That has made things tricky, but according to a chat that was posted on Twitter by Bob Pockrass, Haley seems willing to buy the race team a brand new race car if it means he can have the one from his race win at Daytona.

Haley, a NASCAR Xfinity Series regular, won this past weekend’s race in just his third Cup Series start.
