Josh Bilicki Set For Full-Time NASCAR Cup Series Season in Rick Ware Racing’s No. 52

Josh Bilicki, who has run a total of 35 NASCAR Cup Series races over the last four years, is ready to shed the part-time label as he will go full-time NASCAR Cup Series racing in 2021. Bilicki will pilot the No. 52 machine for Rick Ware Racing this season. RWR made the announcement official with a press release on Tuesday.

For Bilicki, it is the next step in not just his career, but the relationship with the team that gave him his initial start in the NASCAR Cup Series — Rick Ware Racing.

“I could not be more excited and blessed for the opportunity to take the next step in my career and compete full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series with Rick Ware Racing in 2021,” says Bilicki. “I made my NASCAR Cup Series debut with Rick Ware Racing in 2017, and I have seen firsthand how hard Rick and Lisa have worked to grow this team to what it is today. To be able to call Rick Ware Racing my home in 2021 is a dream come true, and I am excited to continue to further my career and help grow this organization.”

Bilicki will bring partners Junction Fuels and Insurance King as primary sponsors this season, and many other partners will be announced at a later date, including the sponsor that will adorn the hood of his Ford Mustang in the season-opening Daytona 500.

Last season, Bilicki ran the largest Cup Series schedule of his career to date, with 22 starts. The Wisconsin-native’s best finish in 2020 was 25th, which he achieved twice. Once at Indianapolis and once at Kansas Speedway.

The 25-year old will strive for even better finishes in 2021 as a full-time driver.
