Richard Childress Racing (RCR) will be adding a pair of NASCAR Cup Series events to its schedule for the No. 33 Chevrolet, with NASCAR Xfinity Series full-timer Jesse Love behind the wheel.

The Menlo Park, California-native will compete in Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, before returning to the seat of RCR’s third, part-time entry at Richmond Raceway in August.

“I’m looking forward to being back behind the wheel of the No. 33 C4 Ultimate Energy Chevrolet this weekend at Kansas,” said Love. “Kansas has been a great track for me throughout my career, and to have the opportunity to run the Cup car consecutive weeks on a mile-and-a-half track is going to be valuable experience. The focus for these races is to continue learning and understanding how this car feels compared to other cars that I’ve raced in the past.”

Love has already made a pair of starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, both of which have come in the last three weeks. The 20-year-old made his series debut at Bristol in the No. 33 Chevrolet before jumping over to the No. 62 Beard Motorsports entry last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway

In each of his first two starts, Love has recorded 31st-place finishes.

C4 Ultimate Energy will continue to serve as the primary sponsor for Love’s efforts in the NASCAR Cup Series this season. The company, which is a multi-year partner of the up-and-coming driver, is the No. 1 selling global pre-workout brand and one of the fastest growing energy drink companies in the United States.

The Richard Childress Racing driver currently sits in fourth place in the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings, on the strength of one victory (in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway), three top-fives and eight top-10s.

In addition to these two starts in the No. 33 at Kansas and Richmond, Love will still make an additional start in the No. 62 for Beard Motorsports at Indianapolis Motor Speedway later this Summer.

The AdventHealth 400 will take place on Sunday, May 11, at 3:00 PM ET. Coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
