Jay Fabian Temporarily Stepping Away from NASCAR Cup Series Amidst Animal Cruelty Allegations

NASCAR Cup Series director Jay Fabian will temporarily step away from his role with the sanctioning body, after information surfaced on Wednesday Afternoon regarding the scheduling of a September 27 court date on felony charges of animal cruelty. According to a report by FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, multiple people are expected to collaborate to fill Fabian’s position in his absence.

A statement from NASCAR says, “NASCAR takes the situation seriously and will continue to gather information as it becomes available. Jay Fabian will step back from his role until the matter is resolved.”
