Chase Elliott wins Dover 2022 inspection complete
Chase Elliott is the official winner of Monday’s NASCAR Cup Series DuraMAX Drydene 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. No issues were detected in post-race inspection and the results are now official.

Technical inspection from Dover Motor Speedway is complete following Monday’s NASCAR Cup Series DuraMAX Drydene 400.

Chase Elliott’s race-winning No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro has passed all aspects of post-race technical inspection, meaning the Hendrick Motorsports driver has been named the official winner.

The win is Elliott’s 14th in the NASCAR Cup Series and his first of the 2022 season. The victory also marks the fifth of the season for Hendrick Motorsports through the first 11 races of the season.

There were no issues in technical inspection and no cars will be brought back to NASCAR’s R&D Center for further evaluation.

Both Denny Hamlin and AJ Allmendinger’s teams (No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing and No. 16 Kaulig Racing) had wheels improperly secured throughout the event, which will result in a four-race suspension to crew chief, jackman, and tire changer, which will be announced mid-week.
