Tyler Reddick escaped the carnage on the final lap of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. In a wild finish, Reddick snuck through the wrecking vehicles in front of him to earn his sixth victory in the NASCAR Cup Series.

After the race, Reddick’s race-winning No. 45 Jordan Brand 23XI Racing Toyota Camry XSE underwent the rigors of post-race inspection, where it received a passing grade. As a result, NASCAR has officially declared Reddick and his team the official winners of the race.

No issues were discovered in post-race tech, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

NASCAR will take back the No. 17 (RFK Racing — Chris Buescher) and No. 48 (Hendrick Motorsports — Alex Bowman) cars for an additional inspection at the NASCAR R&D Center. Following an accident that has seen Erik Jones be transported to a local hospital, NASCAR will also take a once over at the No. 43 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB entry at the R&D Center.
